These chemicals are widely used in scented products, such as soaps, detergents, and air fresheners, but they may also occur in toilet paper. Phthalates are endocrine disruptors that have been linked to reduced sperm counts in men and increased breast cancer risk in women. Skin contact with products that contain phthalates is enough to absorb the chemical into your body.

This chemical is also known as "dry-cleaning fluid" because of its applications in dry-cleaning, spot removal, and cleaning upholstery. It is a neurotoxin and is linked to cancer. PERC is so toxic that people living close to dry-cleaning facilities often complain of dizziness and loss of coordination because of its effects. It is also regulated in some U.S. states.

Products labeled as “antibacterial,” including hand soaps and liquid dishwashing detergents, usually contain triclosan. This chemical poses many risks – apart from being a possible carcinogen and endocrine disruptor, it also poisons streams and rivers. Although pleasant to the senses, inhaling small doses of 2-butoxyethanol can lead to a sore throat, while large doses can result in unconsciousness, pulmonary edema, and even kidney and liver damage. Health Ranger Select Non-Toxic Cleaner is a multi-use concentrate, so you can dilute it in warm to hot water before use. Simply follow the mix ratios below:

Stains

Wet the surface and apply Health Ranger Select Non-Toxic Cleaner directly to use its full strength. Work into the material from several directions and let it sit for a while. Rinse and let the material dry.

Woodwork, floors, and walls

For every gallon of hot water, dilute ¼ cup of Health Ranger Select Non-Toxic Cleaner. Clean as usual and rinse before leaving the surface to dry.

Laundry

You can use 1/3 cup per load, although you'll need more if you're using hard water. You may need a little more for the first wash – especially if your machine has detergent residues – just until foam begins to form on top. The Health Ranger Select Non-Toxic Cleaner has a mild whitening effect that makes it perfect for silk, wool, and other fine fabrics, although it may darken suede. The aloe in its ingredients softens fabrics excellently.

Floor

Combine mop water and 3 oz of Health Ranger Select Non-Toxic Cleaner. Clean the floor as needed and leave it to dry.

Bathrooms

Vehicles

Using a sponge, apply and scrub Health Ranger Select Non-Toxic Cleaner full strength on the surface and then rinse. This cleaner is ideal for both porcelain and tile surfaces.

Before washing, make sure your vehicle is out of direct sunlight. Apply Health Ranger Select Non-Toxic Cleaner onto a sponge and clean your car in sections. Make sure to wet the surface before applying the cleaner. Rinse and dry your car.

Carpets

General cleaning

Use Health Ranger Select Non-Toxic Cleaner as an alternative to detergent concentrates in carpet cleaning machines. You may also use the cleaner directly on spots and stains.
